The Cocoa Horizons Foundation was established in 2015 by Barry Callebaut with the mission to improve cocoa farmer livelihoods through the promotion of sustainable and entrepreneurial farming practices, and to strengthen systems in cocoa communities ensuring that nature and children are protected.
AREAS OF FOCUS
Cocoa-growing communities face many challenges. These can prevent families from having decent livelihoods, increasing the risk of child labor and deforestation. All of this drives away the next generation from cocoa farming.
These challenges call for long-term solutions and collaboration among all stakeholders. It is a journey that requires the collective effort of customers, partners, and everyone committed to our mission.
